Originally from Hong Kong, I’m an emerging UX Designer pursuing a master's degree at the University of Toronto.
I am currently a Experience Designer co-op at Ontario Digital Service and have worked as a freelance UI Designer at CompIQ.
My diverse cultural background equips me with the ability to tackle problems from a unique perspective rooted in a passion for human connection. Having majored in English and Korean Studies during my undergraduate studies, I have cultivated an understanding of how culture shapes behaviors, perceptions, and experiences. I deliver work that speaks to the intricacies of each individual's background.
People hardly remember what they did, saw, or interacted with on a website. Yet, they would remember how the experience made them feel.
I hope to make a difference in the way individuals interact with products and services through improved online experiences. It brings me satisfaction and a great sense of purpose knowing that my design decisions empower people, including those I love and care about. Having conversations with people enables me to get excited about going to work every day and seeing processes work better for them motivates me.
▸ I start my day with a cup of coffee (or 2 😬) and a nutritious breakfast to keep my productivity high throughout the day.
▸ Love having co-design sessions/sync time with team members where I can bounce ideas off of one another.
▸ I am a very good listener and would love to hear about your story!
▸ If there is any job shadowing opportunities, please count me in! I learn best from observing how others work to practicing my crafts.
▸ I try to keep an open-minded approach and ask questions about technical subjects.
▸ On that note, I am always learning how to communicate things in a way that anyone can understand, whether they be designers or engineers from all walks of life.
▸ I might be a little bit shy at first but once I get to know you a bit more, I will get better at having small talks.
Outside of work I enjoy fostering animals, discovering nice cafes around the area, and taking photos of beautiful skies.
